Marcus Ihre holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the early 1990s, complemented by further studies in international marketing and trade. Following his university education, he has worked in both the private and public sectors, with sustainability as a consistent thread throughout his career.
He has, among other things, been involved in research on substitutes for CFCs, eco-labelling, the collection and recycling of plastics, and the development of international sustainability standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 26000.
At Systembolaget, Marcus focuses on climate and environmental impact across the entire supply chain—from crop cultivation and beverage production to packaging and transportation.
