Beverage packaging is at the heart of the transition towards circularity, resource efficiency, and a reduced climate footprint. This session provides an overview of how the industry is working with design for recycling, material choices, refill and reuse, as well as the development of extended producer responsibility and deposit return systems. We explore how demands from retailers, public stakeholders, and consumers are being translated into practice through innovation, standardisation, and shared infrastructure. Participants will gain insights into current examples, key barriers, and collaborations that can help accelerate the next generation of beverage packaging.
