On October 1–2, 2025, the industry gathered at Kistamässan for two intensive days filled with innovation, networking, and inspiration. In total, Empack and Logistics & Automation attracted 2,071 visitors who explored the latest trends and developments in packaging, logistics, and automation.
Leif Pagrotsky set the tone
One of this year’s most notable speakers was Leif Pagrotsky. Drawing on his extensive experience as a politician and economist, he shared insights on global developments and current issues such as trade policy, tariffs, and the unstable global situation.
Sustainability and technological shifts in focus
Under the heading PPWR in Practice – The Path to Sustainable Packaging, discussions centered on how the EU’s new packaging regulation can be implemented in practice, with a focus on circular solutions and the responsibility of the entire value chain. The discussion also highlighted the role of consumers in driving the transition.
Packnorth Award 2025 and Demo Area
The Packnorth Award announced its nominated entries on-site, showcasing the breadth of Nordic packaging innovation. All entries were exhibited at the fair, and the winners were celebrated during the awards ceremony on October 1. This year’s demo area featured exciting demonstrations, allowing visitors to see innovative intralogistics solutions in action.

The next edition of Empack and Logistics & Automation at Kistamässan will take place on September 30–October 1, 2026.
