Enplater Group has been awarded in the category for the best food packaging at the Liderpack packaging & Popai Spain Awards, 2022 Edition, for the development of the Retorpack flexible packaging. The members of the jury of the Graphispack and Hispack association have condsidered that Retorpack is a sustainable flexible packaging with a monomaterial structure of polypropylene with little weight, barrier to gases and water vapour. This packaging aims to offer a ready-to-recycle solution with high thermal resistance capabilities for sterilization and retort processes of food products. Available in reel and doypack versions with spout or zip option for liquids according to the needs of the end of the line of each client and product.
With this new solution, the improvement in sustainability is notorious, since it allows to go from current non-recyclable Multimaterial containers to a Polypropylene Monomaterial solution that can be recycled for new uses.
Enplater Group has two production centers, the headquarters in Torroella de Montgrí (Girona) and the second in Sariñena (Huesca). In 2021, it achieved consolidated sales of €69 million with a workforce of 369 employees.
